Day 1: Arrive in Lima
Our staff meets you at the airport and transports you to the hotel.

Day 2: Lima City tour
This excursion includes a combination of Pre-Hispanic era, colonial period, and modern Lima, and enables the visitor to get acquainted with Lima's complete history.  The tour takes you to the historical center, Paseo la Republica, San Martin Square, Main Square, Government Palace, Basilica Cathedral , City Hall Palace, and colonial mansions.  It also visits the convent and church of San Francisco, the greatest monumental assembly of colonial art in America. The tour continues through the residential areas of San Isidro, Miraflores and modern Lima.

Day 3: Lima - Juliaca - Puno
We will transfer you to the airport for your flight.  Upon arrival at Juliaca airport, we will pick you up and travel for one hour to the hotel in Puno.

Day 4: Puno - Uros - Amantani
Early in the morning we will board a boat and travel to the floating reed islands of the Uros, then continue for approximately two hours by boat to reach the Amantani Island.  After a guided tour by this island, we will have lunch and enjoy an overnight home stay with a local family.

Day 5: Amantani - Puno
Return by boat to Puno, where you will stay the night.

Day 6: Puno - Cusco
Travel by bus to Cusco, passing through small towns like Pukara, La Raya Pass (hot springs, 4,330 m.a.s.l.).  Continue to Sicuani and Raqchi, and spend the afternoon visiting Andahuaylillas before arriving at the hotel in Cusco.

Day 7: Sacred Valley Tour
Duration: 8:30 am - 6:30 pm
The tour includes a guided visit to the native market of Pisaq, where you can purchase beautiful textiles, jewelry and ceramics at bargain prices.  Our next stops will be Calca and Urubamba, where we will have lunch.  We will continue to Ollantaytambo, where the group will visit the archeological site, and then visit Chinchero's market.
Included: Spanish and English speaking professional guide, Tourist ticket valid for the entrance to many museums and ruins as well, round trip transportation by bus

Day 8: Salkantay - Machupicchu 5D/4N Cusco - Sayllapata - Soyrococha
At 6:00 AM we'll pick you up from your selected hotel. We'll leave by our private transport to Mollepata (2800 meters).  We will enjoy a beautiful scenic journey through Limatambo, stopping for panoramic views of the Apurimac Valley, where you can have a breakfast in a typical restaurant. After that we'll drive 1hour to our trailhead at Sayllapata (3 200 m.a.s.l.), where we'll meet our “arrieros” (horsemen) and trek staff.  For 2 1/2 hrs, we will hike through traditional Andean communities like Cruzpata, Challacancha, and Soraypampa (3750 m.a.s.l.), before stopping for lunch. After another 4 hours, we'll arrive at our first campsite at Soyrococha (4200 m.a.s.l.). Lunch and dinner

Day 9: Salkantay - Machupicchu 5D/4N
Soyrococha - Huayracmachay - Collpapampa
On the second day we'll ascend to the highest point of our trek, Salkantay Pass (4600 m.a.s.l.).  From this point we can appreciate the special views of Salkantay Mountain, a stunning snow-capped peak (6271 meters).  We will have 3 hours of walking with spectacular views of the mountains Humantay and Huayanay, small lakes and moraines before arriving at our lunch site, Huayraqmachay (3700m.a.s.l.).  Then we'll descend for 3 1/2 hours to our second campsite, Collpapampa (2600 m.a.s.l.).

Day 10: Salkantay - Machupicchu 5D/4N Collpapampa - Playa
On the third day, the group will have 4 hours of easy, downhill hiking.  We will be introduced to a high jungle location called Ceja de Selva, where coffee, coca and fruits plantations can be observed.  There will be time to shower in a waterfall, take amazing pictures, and with luck we can observe the famous Peruvian National Bird "Gallito de las Rocas".  We will stop at Playa (2250 m.a.s.l.) for lunch and then enjoy a free afternoon.

Day 11: Salkantay - Machupicchu 5D/4N Playa - Hidroeléctrica - Aguas Calientes
After a short journey by bus (1hour) we'll arrive at Santa Teresa bridge, where we'll meet our porters.  After 15 minutes of walking, we'll use an unusual method of transportation called Oroya.  The group will then walk for 2 hours to Hiidroeléctrica, and after lunch we'll take the 3:20 train (1 hour long) to Aguas Calientes (2,000 m.a.s.l.).  We’ll stay overnight in a hostel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 12: Salkantay - Machupicchu 5D/4N Machupicchu - Cusco
We will take an early walk or bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu for a guided 3-hour tour and plenty of free time to explore.  There will also be time for an optional climb to the mountain Huayna Picchu, Temple of the Moon, or the Sun gate.  After that, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes.  At approx 4:00 pm we will take our return train to Cusco, arriving to Cusco City around 9:00 pm.

Day 13: Cusco
Afternoon - Cusco City Tour
Duration: From 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm
The tour includes the most significant sites in and around Cusco City, such as the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), which displays the best Inca stonework in the city, and the Cathedral in Cusco’s Main Square with its magnificent colonial art. The tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to the famous fortress of Saqsahuaman, the amphitheatre of Qenqo, the fortress of Pukapukara and the spring shrine of Tambomachay. Day 14: Cusco - Puerto Maldonado. Ecoadventure Program 4D/3N
Monkey Island
You arrive at Puerto Maldonado, the biodiversity capital of Peru. After a reception at the airport, you will ride to the city center by bus. You will depart from the port and travel down to the Madre de Dios River. During the trip, you will see caimans, turtles, herons and other species of animals along the riverbanks. When you arrive in the ECOAMAZONIA LODGE, you will be served an exquisite welcome drink, after which you will have time to settle in to your bungalows and eat lunch. In the afternoon, you will travel with our specialized guide to Monkey Island, which is only 5 minutes from the Lodge. During your hike through the island, you will observe extraordinary scenery and flora that shelters a tremendous variety of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as the Black Spider Monkey, Capuchin Monkey, Tamarins, Squirrel Monkeys, and the South American Coati, as well as a number of bird species. You will complete your visit to Monkey Island by enjoying the sunset and then returning to the Lodge for dinner.

Day 15: Ecoadventure Program 4D/3N
Lost Cocha
After breakfast you begin your guided adventure through the virgin rainforest on foot to the Lost Cocha. The Lost Cocha is a protected ecosystem sustaining an immense variety of animals, including giant otters, caimans, turtles, Brazilian tapirs "sachavacas", colorful birds, the majestic jaguar, and diverse fish species. This area is a unique part of the Ecoamazonia Reserve, because its immense swamps and marshes still remain fully intact today. Later, you will arrive at our extraordinary Amazon Watch Tower, built at the top of an immense tree (the Shihuahuaco), from which you can appreciate the full and magical beauty of the rainforest. You will also go for a pleasant canoe ride around the lake, after which you will return to the Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon there is another canoe trip down the river to visit a local family living in the rainforest. Finally, you will return to the Lodge for dinner.

Day 16: Ecoadventure Program 4D/3N
Gamitana or Briolo River
You start the day with breakfast and then begin another trip through the magical rainforest, navigating down to the Madre de Dios River to the path that leads to the Gamitana and Briolo rivers. These rivers, born from the innermost virgin forest, form impressive serpentine channels through which you will travel by canoe while observing animals only an arm's length away. You will also have the opportunity to fish and swim in the crystalline waters of the Gamitana River. Finally you will return to the Lodge for dinner.

Day 17: Ecoadventure Program 4D/3N. Puerto Maldonado - Cusco - Lima
After breakfast, we will transport you to the airport in Puerto Maldonado for your flight to Lima.
